Finally...a video... Thank you Jennifer for taking this. She had a terrible time trying to keep that crummy camera on that little target...lol. You might now....I forgot to switch back to high rates before my approach, so I ran out of elevator just before touchdown. The worst landings are always caught on video...we never seem to catch the good landings...lol http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=So0i8TznuWw

Well, the life of the little Alpha "Beta" is over....
She piled in today at the field. After three good flights in high winds, she lost her life on the fourth flight. To no surprise, she did not go quietly. She was performing the prettiest knife edge of her life, then when she attempted to finish off her knife edge pass with a little roll, she was attacked by a flock of "Dumb Thumbs" which took her nose first into the deck at a high rate of speed. I think even a few of the spectators saw pieces of her bounce high into the air upon collision. Muffler temperature placed the estimated time of death to be around 4:30pm CST. After a brief autopsy, cause of death was officially determined to be blunt force trauma with a dull patch of soil. The owner was on scene to identify the body, which was surprisingly recognizable after such a brutal event.
With the advancement in DNA research, she may be able to live on through genetic modification. Testing in the coming months will determine if the deceased would be a good candidate for such genetic modification, being that this has already been performed on this subject once in the past. If such a procedure is deemed acceptable and logical, the project shall go by the name Alpha "Charlie".
There are some disturbing images that will be posted as soon as we can figure out a technical problem with equipment compatibility. (When I can figure out how to get them from my phone to my computer.)

Tony G, Dr. Samuel here. May I prescribe a period of long rest before attempting this very delicate modification? Also in times of mourning after a lost Loved one ,It has been My experience to go to the catalogs and try to find a replacement or Maybe a Twin sibling to help in recovering from such a Loss. Either way, Your next move should be a BIG STIK 40. You'll be HAPPY again and the time it takes to build ( about 10 hours or less) will be very beneficial to the mourning process. I can also prescribe a sedative that You can get at Your local convenience store to help You sleep tonight. I also know of a very good Ultra Stik 60 in need of a new home. The price is very cheap and All it needs is your radio. receiver and a 60 size engine. Possibly could be the Next Franky 2!! If You are interested, I can put You in touch with the Donor and the two of You could arrange the adoption. DR. SAMUEL MD., PHD.,PHD in BS., BS. in Maxial Facial Reconstruction of the Balsa Type, , ..etc..etc..etc..

LMAO...now thats good stuff!
I may rebuild her one day....but I can buy another ARF for about the same amount it would cost to repair. Its still fun to play with, so I will probably do something with it. Maybe try a biplane approach this time...lol For now, I would like to get into something with a symmetrical or semi-symmetrical wing with little to no dihedral. I am looking at a Twist 40...but I also stumbled upon a funtana that would accept that little .40 from H9, as well as the H9 Showtime. Due to my recent employment status, its not going to be soon Im afraid. I may just try to stick all the running gear back on my little superstar trainer and putt around with it a bit...but I appreciate it Wrench!

The Stik I was referring to is only $75.00, already built and ready to go..A 60 size engine of the Super Tigre family is only $119. .. From the Evolution family comes a Great little 60 for $109.. Both could be a Good replacement for Franky 1
